My name is Allyson Winburn. I am a trained full-spectrum doula, certified to support birthing people through all reproductive stages of their lives.

I am also an operations expert with 7 years of experience in nonprofit management. I bring this expertise to my work as a doula and approach preparation for the postpartum period with a systems-centered mindset, setting you up to relax into all the joys your new baby will bring.

I began my doula education in 2020, earned my full-spectrum certification in early 2021, and have been serving birthing and postpartum families in the DC area since.

10 years after beginning my career, I am making a transition of my own to focus my time and attention more intently on my postpartum doula practice. I started Honeycomb Postpartum in 2024 and feel lucky to be able to provide care that is not only deeply needed and under-resourced, but also fulfilling and reinvigorating for me. Honeycomb Postpartum is an anti-racist, size-inclusive, queer-affirming practice that leads with the values of transparency, accountability, empathy, and equity.

I fill my cup by talking long walks, baking or cooking, watching Bravo, and catching up with friends and family. I am a Taurus, an Arizonan, and a doting mom to a dog and a cat. I can’t wait to meet you!
