I provide sliding scale services to folks in need, for those who may have trouble paying for a doula. I am also an approved Medicaid provider in DC and so in partnership with BirthingKind will soon be able to provide doula services to many folks receiving Medicaid benefits. Doula services may also be eligible for reimbursement from your private insurer with a letter of medical necessity from your provider.
I believe in the importance of doula services, especially in the postpartum period. I believe it’s my responsibility to provide those in my community with the support they need. We were not meant to raise children in isolation- we all need help and deserve to get it, regardless of our ability to pay for that help.
